We are seeking an outstanding Waterjet Programmer/Operator who can process parts to our specifications using our 90,000 psi Flow Mach3 Waterjet System. These parts are Engineered, Manufactured, and Assembled at our facility.

Responsibilities

  • Safely use established Waterjet Operational techniques and best practices to make parts to Engineering Specifications within the scheduled time allowed.
  • Perform the appropriate Pathing, Nesting, and other Waterjet specific operations using technical knowledge and skills to ensure the accuracy and quality of all finished parts.
  • Analyze and interpret engineering drawings to establish a clear understanding of what work is required to successfully make the part. Perform in-process checks to ensure the parts are conforming to the print.
  • Load and unload materials from the machine.
  • Maintain material inventory
  • Optimize your efforts to assure the success of the team.

Equipment

Our other shop equipment consists of CNC controlled Mills, Lathes (mostly Mazak), Manually Operated Machinery, and Welding.  Employees will  move around if the workload changes to either accommodate bottlenecks or vacation coverage. Most of the parts we make are done by a group effort. Each group will perform their portion of the work as it progresses across the shop. We generally do not make high quantities of the same part, but rather high variability of a low volume of parts. Most parts are built to order for the specific machinery being built. The shop is clean and air conditioned for a comfortable work environment.

Experience and Skill Requirements

  • 5 or more years of Waterjet Programming/Operation or equivalent preferred
  • Flow Waterjet Experience is a plus
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Able to perform Shop Math
  • Must be proficient with computer
  • Interpret Blue Prints effectively

The Machine Builder plans and performs a wide variety of machine assembly operations, working from Engineering drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Perform a wide variety of machine assembly functions utilizing precision instruments, hand tools, etc.
  • Make/guide changes to engineering drawings, etc.
  • Operate packaging equipment in the course of assembly, set-up and de-bug.
  • Troubleshoot mechanical/electrical problems.
  • Use hand tools and basic power tools such as drills, grinders, bandsaws, etc. and ensure the assigned area has parts, etc. to complete jobs.
  • Apply a wide variety of knowledge and technical skills in the course of machinery set-up and operations.

Experience and Skill Requirements

One to two years in a design build manufacturing environment.

Education Requirements

High School diploma or equivalent required; A.S. in mechanical technology or advanced training in a manufacturing technology preferred.

The Field Service Technician serves as the front-line customer service representative for Schneider Packaging, providing professional equipment installation, maintenance, troubleshooting, training, and customer support services for the complete range of Schneider products.

Responsibilities

  • Professional installation of new packaging machinery, packaging systems and robotic palletizers.
  • Manage the assigned project, ensuring schedules and goals are met.
  • Perform maintenance and service at customer locations, including troubleshooting and training.

The Electrician plans and performs a wide variety of electrical assembly operations working from controls schematics / drawings and specifications following detailed instructions.

 

Responsibilities

  • Plan and perform a wide variety of electrical assembly functions utilizing precision instruments, hand tools, etc. from controls drawings / schematics following prescribed procedures and with general guidance and direction.
  • Make changes to controls drawings / schematics; perform I/O inspection functions following company policies and procedures.
  • Power-up packaging equipment and de-bug.
  • Troubleshoot electrical problems.
  • Use hand tools and basic power tools such as drills, grinders, band saws, etc. and ensure the assigned area has parts, etc. to complete jobs.
  • Apply technical skills in the course of machinery set-up and operations.
  • Interface with Assembly and Controls personnel to correct equipment problems, make changes, etc.

Experience and Skill Requirements

  • One to two years as an electrician in an industrial setting with an additional three to five years desired to become familiar with components and procedures.
  • High School diploma or equivalent required: A.A.S. in electronics or electrical technology or advanced training in electricity or electrical technology preferred.

Welders at our Company primarily use TIG welding to make various parts of steel, aluminum, and stainless steel. These parts range in size and are pre-cut from plates, bars, rods, and tubing. Occasionally we have assemblies that will require MIG welding. Parts are pre-fabricated by others within our manufacturing group. The welders receive primarily clean and burr-free parts to weld. After welding they need to be square, straight, and to the print. The welds are to be free of undercut, cold lap, and porosity.

Our shop has Miller Syncrowave TIG Welders and Miller 350P MIG Welders. Additionally there is a Tungsten Sharpener, Angle Grinders, Oxygen Acetylene Torches, Plasma Cutters, Hydraulic Presses, and other typical shop equipment. We proved auto-darkening Speedglass helmets to our welders. The shop is clean and air conditioned for a comfortable and safe work environment.

Experience and Skill Requirements:

  • 3 - 5 years TIG welding preferred
  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Able to perform basic shop math
  • Able to interpret blueprints
  • Able to use measuring tools like a tape measure and squares
  • Able to operate machinery like drills and saws is a plus

The CNC Lathe Machinist makes parts to our specifications using various tools and equipment.  These parts are engineered, manufactured, and assembled at our facility.

Responsibilities

CNC Machinists at our Company make various parts of steel, aluminum, stainless steel, and plastics.  These parts range in size and are cut from plates, bars, rods, and tubing.  Most of the parts we make are done by a group effort.  The Lathe Group will perform the turning operations to complete the parts.    We generally do not make large quantities of the same part.  Most parts are built to order for the specific machinery being built.  Each employee is empowered to choose the work to be done in their area while following a priority system that supports Company goals.

Our shop has a mix of CNC controlled (mostly Mazak) and manually operated machinery.  The specific parts can vary, but there is a good mix of commonly manufactured parts and newly designed ones.  Our primary tooling for turning is Sandvik holders and inserts.  We have a new Autodesk Inventor HSM CAD/CAM package that we are about to begin using. The shop is clean and air conditioned for a comfortable work environment.

Education, Experience and Skill Requirements

  • 5 or more years of CNC machining preferred.
  • High school diploma or equivalent.

Our Machine Shop has a mix of CNC controlled and manually operated machinery. Employees are expected to be able to move around as the workload changes per order. Our Machine Shop is clean and air conditioned for a comfortable work environment.

The Mechanical Design Engineer uses technical expertise, creativity and innovation to design and develop end-of-line packaging solutions from the conceptual design stage through to production in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined team setting, meeting quality, performance, cost, and schedule goals.

Experience and Skill Requirements

  • This position requires a solid foundation of mechanical engineering, acquired through education and/or experience.
  • Experience designing complex electro-mechanical projects preferred.
  • Design and communication skills that facilitate a team-based approach to integrate and work with other engineers, marketing, purchasing, manufacturing and support personnel, customers and vendors.
  • Proven experience creating designs to meet Design for Manufacturing and Assembly (DFMA).
  • A high level of proficiency with 3D parametric CAD modeling software such as Inventor, Solid Works, Solid Edge.
  • Understanding of machine shop tools:  engine lathes, vertical milling machine, sheet metal forming, welding technologies, MIG, TIG, measuring equipment, and machine shop practices.
  • Practicing knowledge of machine design materials:  plastics, low and high carbon steels, various aluminum alloys, stainless steels, carbon composites, etc.
  • Experience with BOM generation, and use of MRP/ERP systems.
  • Effective verbal and written communication skills.  Communication must be timely, clear, and complete.
  • Sustained record demonstrating initiative, motivation, and a sense of urgency.
  • Demonstrated high ethics, integrity, honesty, and patience.

Education Requirements

BS in Mechanical Engineering or equivalent.

The Controls Engineer designs, develops and implements equipment control systems and subsystems from specification through integration and start-up in a fast-paced, multi-disciplined team setting, meeting quality, performance, cost and schedule goals.

Responsibilities

  • Design equipment control systems using established design standards with an eye to current technology and industry trends.
  • Requisition components for projects maintaining compliance with approved vendor lists.
  • Incorporate standard control designs and ancillary subsystems to efficiently design and manufacture in a manner that meets project requirements and facilitates safe, productive startup, operation, maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
  • Contribute as a member of a team of design professionals to achieve project, department and company goals.

Experience and Skill Requirements

  • Programming experience with primarily Allen-Bradley SLC and Contrologix. Other platforms helpful.
  • Experience with HMI systems.
  • Knowledge of industrial electrical systems and components.
  • A minimum of three (3) years experience in a design-build manufacturing environment preferred.
  • FANUC robotic experience is a plus.
  • Strong communication and team skills.
